"I'm not a politician"

For a guy who is not a politician, he sure has been acting like one. Today, he said on CBC exactly what he said he wouldn't do and pulled a Bloomberg. How quickly things have changed.

  1. Lol ! He started doing that right from the get go. What were the main planks of his earliest election campaign ? Free bus fare for seniors (not done), eliminate the business tax starting with downtown (not done)and free wi-fi the whole of downtown (not done).

I'd have been more surprised if he said he was going to stick to his "two terms and out" pledge.

  2. "I'm not a politician"? Well, that's not entirely true is it Mr. Katz. More accurately, what you should have confessed is: " I not a GOOD politician."

With his absolute inability to accommodate and consensus build this man is setting our city back in ways that we cannot afford. Stubborn, arrogant and disrespectful of all opposing views - this petty man is polarizing our civic polity.

A third term for a man who once ruminated over the desirability of restricting councilors terms? Surely this control freak jests!

  3. And he will win a third term. The Conservative voting list is his. Why not go for a third term, the money is good, the perks are good, the connections are good. Hell he's exactly the type of mayor every small town needs and gets.
